The Confidence Man
Sees the deal everyone else calls madness, and makes it real.
You don't wait for the deal to make sense to everyone else. You see the opening before the room does, and you act while they're still arguing whether it's real. Charm isn't decoration for you — it's the mechanism.
In 1925, Victor Lustig convinced Parisian scrap dealers to buy the Eiffel Tower for its metal. When one bidder got suspicious, Lustig bribed him into silence and simply sold the Tower again to someone else. Years later, in Depression-era Chicago, he took $50,000 from Al Capone, held it untouched in a safe deposit box, then returned it — and Capone, disarmed by the apparent honesty, handed him $5,000 as a reward.
